Security Officer Armed Patrol Response

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Officer supporting a dynamic educational campus, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to campus needs, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and coordinate with campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour
Schedule: Tue 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Wed 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Thu 02:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Fri 02:45 PM - 10:00 PM, Sat 07:15 AM - 03:15 PM
