About the role
As an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Response in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will engage customers, tenants, and visitors with exceptional service while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to location procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or armed security experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
