Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, potential shoplifting, property damage, and other security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain required armed officer credentials, handle assigned equipment responsibly, and complete clear incident reports and patrol documentation.
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
