Security Officer Armed Patrol First Aid

About the Role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Armed Patrol Security Officer with First Aid certification in Seattle, WA. The position involves safeguarding clients in retail and mall environments, providing customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Valid firearms permit (preferred).
• Armed guard card or license (preferred).
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Successful background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state or local regulations.

Pay

$27.00 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime part‑time schedule: Saturday 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Sunday 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM.
