Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry when required, while maintaining a professional presence and providing directions or assistance to visitors.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, patrol activities, unusual occurrences, and other security-related matters in accordance with site requirements.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
