About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Watch in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or site management when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior.
- Support access control and security-related screening activities, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and complete detailed incident and activity reports.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
