About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as aerospace and defense. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide professional customer service in a mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and report access concerns or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participation in industry-specific security-related training programs.

Pay

$19.53 per hour.
