Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and critical infrastructure points, verifying credentials, controlling access, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.
• Support incident response and preparedness activities by following established protocols, maintaining situational awareness, and completing required reports related to patrol, access, and/or emergency events.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
