What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support access control procedures for restricted and sensitive areas.
• Assist with security-related checks of doors, gates, fencing, and other key areas, and communicate maintenance concerns, unusual conditions, and/or potential risks through appropriate reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
