Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service to visitors and staff. This is an armed driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to government locations, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required firearms and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Armed guard card or license (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$25.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Monday through Friday
