What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access control and loss prevention awareness, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Support closing, opening, and after-hours security-related activities, which may include checking doors, gates, and restricted areas and completing required reports before, during, and/or after each shift.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
