Security Officer Armed Patrol - County

About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lancaster, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public at a government law enforcement location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Must have a clean background and clean driving record.

$26.81 / Hour

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
