About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual observations in required reports and promptly communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Experience with access control and badge procedures.
