Security Officer Armed Patrol Clearance Required

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Jacksonville, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Saturday: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
