Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Inspection

About the role

As an Armed Part-Time Patrol Inspection Security Officer in Saint Petersburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors at a government transportation location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, roadways, parking areas, perimeters, and other designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Comply with state and/or local licensing laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.50 per hour.

• Friday: 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:30 AM - 05:00 PM
