As an Armed Security Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location in Culpeper, VA, you will manage access control, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to support a mission-focused environment through professional communication and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for individuals and vehicles requesting entry to restricted areas; maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Monitor access points, alarm systems, cameras, and communication equipment; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and facility concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$28.59 per hour

Schedule

Part-time. Thursday and Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
