As a Security Officer Part‑Time Armed Patrol Response in Surry, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. The position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transportation facilities, offices, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, deliveries, and contractor activity in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic‑related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns while following Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Daytime – Friday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Saturday 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
