Security Officer Armed Overnight Patrol

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer Overnight Patrol in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as residential communities. This part-time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor access points, verify visitors, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at entry points, verify authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with community procedures.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community areas, entry gates, roadways, amenities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation related to access activity, incidents, and observations.
Requirements
- Possess a valid armed guard card.
- Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or degree in criminal justice.
- Graduate of Public Safety Academy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
