Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Part Time

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Part Time in Roanoke, VA to serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. This Part-Time Security Officer position offers schedule flexibility, including the ability to build your own schedule and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and other designated locations
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
