Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time

This role is an Armed Enhanced Part‑Time Patrol Presence in Henrico, VA, with a six‑month commitment to a designated site and weekly “anchor” shift, while offering the ability to pick up additional shifts.

Pay

Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Sunday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (anchor shift). Additional shifts can be claimed via the scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location, including exterior areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing individuals to appropriate areas, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while helping to deter disruptions at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
