Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate county personnel and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with the orderly flow of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Complete accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least six months of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
