Security Officer Armed Emergency Response

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location in Little Rock, AR, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to apply your training and experience while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, utility infrastructure, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with established entry requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while following applicable armed post policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.00 / Hour

• Monday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
