As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Maury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a government corrections location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through professional communication.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
