About the role

As an Armed Driver Response Patrol Security Officer in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time role offers flexibility and opportunity through our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and contractors entering restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
