Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver

About the role
As an Armed Patrol Response Driver in Temple, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical or alarm-related calls in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer, employee, and delivery activity for unusual conditions; report concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, activities, and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
