As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Unit in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter incidents, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures while reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
- Support incident response by assisting with alarms, medical calls, evacuations, and/or other urgent events, while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and first responders.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess 2+ years of law enforcement/military/corrections experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
