Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Full Time

About the role

As an Armed Driver Patrol Security Officer in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and help support visitor management procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.74 / hour
