What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with location protocols, including verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
- Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, handling security-related concerns involving patients and/or visitors, and maintaining a visible presence in high-traffic and sensitive areas.
Minimum Requirements
- CPO certification is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, corrections and/or bachelors degree in criminal justice.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
