Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Mobile Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and support visitor and employee screening processes in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
• Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations observed during patrols, and follow escalation procedures for law enforcement or supervisory support when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
