Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol

About the role
As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional response to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$20.60 / hour

- Day shift: Wednesday 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM, Thursday 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM
