About the role

As a Security Officer Armed - Badge Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents, and provide professional communication and customer service. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-control discrepancies according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide armed response within training, licensing, post orders, and applicable laws.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
