Security Officer Armed Access Control Driver

About the role
As an Armed Access Control Driver in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. This driving post combines professional communication, customer service, and prompt response to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and/or access-control systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Valid armed guard card or license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
