About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location in Charleston, SC as an unarmed patrol professional. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. You will work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, helping create a welcoming environment while responding to site needs with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Observe package handling, trailer yards, and/or shipping and receiving areas for security-related concerns, then report and document incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior promptly.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Note: At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.

• Wednesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Friday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Position type: Full Time, Day Time.
