Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a municipal location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with supervisors and/or local first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and information, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns through established site procedures.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing routine reports related to daily activities and/or incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• Able to ride a bike.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
