About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to alarms and security-related concerns. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming campus environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$15.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
