About the role

As a Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to use communication and technology skills while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and direct guests, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with property policies.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
