What You'll Do

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned spaces, helping to support order and following post instructions for visitor interaction and incident response.
Assist with de-escalation support when appropriate and work with site contacts and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, or other urgent situations.

Minimum Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
