About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling site access, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, maintaining visitor records, and following site access protocols.
- Monitor access-control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned; report irregular conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment issues according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Tuesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
