Security Officer Access Verification Desk

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and help support smooth site entry for visitors, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, gates, trailer yards, and other restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Support traffic flow and access management for deliveries and outbound shipments by directing authorized vehicles and/or pedestrians in accordance with post instructions and location protocols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
