About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a leading automotive location in Vance, AL, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and team members with professionalism. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor and contractor records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Document daily activities, access-related concerns, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Pay
$17.50 / hour
Schedule
- Monday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
- Tuesday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
- Thursday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
- Saturday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
