About the role
As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location in University Park, IL, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will use computer or tablet systems as needed, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
- Control access to loading docks, warehouse areas, trailer yards, and restricted locations in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading zones, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
