Security Officer Access Point Monitor

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, guests, and vendors while supporting site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Screen incoming deliveries, vendors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
