About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control Specialist in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify approved access for personnel and/or visitors, and support traffic flow for deliveries, trailers, and other site operations.
• Observe site activity and report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and/or potential policy violations to help support smooth daily operations at the location.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.
