Security Officer Access Control Representative

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge and access control procedures while remaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and assisting with entry requirements at a government-related transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with post orders and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Maintain logs, reports, and/or visitor records related to access activity, deliveries, and restricted area entry while following established documentation practices.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe conditions, report concerns, and support security-related operations as assigned.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
