Security Officer - Access Control Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Access Control Patrol Security Officer in South Bend, IN, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.20 / hour

• Tuesday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wednesday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
