Security Officer Access Control Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while documenting security-related activity through computer or tablet systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior through a professional presence and consistent application of site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Day Time: Wednesday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Thursday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Saturday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Sunday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
