About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location in Atlanta, GA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors, employees, and team members while responding to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements, providing directions and assistance as needed.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, communicating relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$17.50 / hour

- Monday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Wednesday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Friday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
