Security Officer Access Control Patrol Agent

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and follow post orders for deliveries, contractors, and after-hours access.
• Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and reporting maintenance, policy, and other security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
