Security Officer Access Control Full Time

About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, screening visitors and contractors, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, loading docks, trailer yards, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and incident reports while communicating observations and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
