Security Officer Access Control Driver

About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge-related processes, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and supports a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
- Complete detailed activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
Requirements
- Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as part of Branch Flex.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be available for last-minute shift scheduling as part of Branch Flex.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$16.96 / hour
Schedule
- Day shifts: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday availability required
